Hello current EFAST athletes, past athletes, old friends, and new friends!

It is hard to believe EFAST is 12 years old. Since 2013, our coaching business has evolved but one thing that has remained consistent is the joy we get from coaching our athletes. Thank you to all of those — past and present — who have trusted us to be your coach and help you achieve your goals.

Our family has had quite the journey since EFAST started. During this time, we have been blessed with four amazing kids and are so thankful for what they bring to our lives.

A few years ago, we moved away from Reno as Ryan pursued coaching swimming at the college level. This led us to Albuquerque, New Mexico; Bismarck, North Dakota; and Lawrence, Kansas. This spring, an unexpected opportunity and a desire to be closer to family us to Lake Tahoe (specifically, Incline Village). It has been nice to be back in Northern Nevada.

With all of the changes since 2013, one thing that has been constant is EFAST. Although we have been fairly quiet on social media, we have continued to coach several athletes as they prepare for running races, triathlons, and cycling events all over the world.

Now that we are back to our roots, we are going to ramp up EFAST. We plan to send out a bimonthly email newsletter with training tips and updates, continue to revamp the EFAST website, and be more active on Instagram and Facebook. More importantly, we are accepting new athletes! So if you have a race this summer or fall, we’d love to work with you to get you ready. Just reach out to get started.

ActiveRenoTahoe.com

While we lived in different parts of the country, it became clear to us that the Reno / Lake Tahoe area is truly one of the best spots in the country for outdoor recreation. While we were gone, the active and endurance community drastically changed (for the better!). New races and events have popped up and several elite-level athletes moved into town. We felt out of the loop when we returned.

So when we moved to Incline Village, Ryan wanted to get plugged back into the endurance community, and he figured no better way then to launch a free weekly newsletter highlighting the active community. The idea of ActiveRenoTahoe.com was formed***. If you have yet to sign up, we would greatly appreciate you subscribing to the ActiveRenoTahoe newsletter. Click here to subscribe.

*** Actually, it is a relaunch of an old idea. Back in the day, when Ryan graduated from college, he and his brother, David, started a publication called ActiveReno. It was a monthly publication with the same concept — highlighting the endurance community in our region. They did it for a year which led to Ryan getting the opportunity to help open Reno Running Company and be their first store manager. It was at Reno Running Company where Ryan met Lauren (she was the store’s Adidas sales rep). The rest is history….

Thank you for your support over the years. We truly do appreciate it!
